Can I set up a tasting?

We do not conduct formal tastings as we are a walk in shop.  Feel free to stop by anytime to try a selection of the days flavors, or submit requests a week ahead of time to take home specific flavors!

Which flavors can I choose?

The flavor list is located at thesaltedcupcake.com/menu.  We do not custom decorate, but you are welcome to pick any flavors you can dream up and they will be beautifully decorated according to flavor.

How many flavors can I choose?

Brides typically choose 3-5 flavors, but you are welcome to pick as many or few as you would like!

How many should I order?

We recommend one cupcake per person.  The cupcakes are very rich and filling, and although some people may try more than one, others may not like sweets, be full from dinner, etc. so one per person is a good estimate.

Do you provide cutting cakes?

We only make cupcakes, but would be happy to pick up your cake if you choose to use another baker for a cutting cake.  It is also very cute to cut into cupcakes for the ceremonious first picture.

Do you deliver?

Delivery, stand rental, set up, and stand retrieval within the Grand Rapids area is $100.  Please inquire for wedding receptions located outside Grand Rapids.

What does the rental stand look like?

Our stand is a white stand with 9 round tiers plus a base.  It is 4.5 feet tall and holds about 150 cupcakes.  If more space is needed, we can arrange the remaining cupcakes around on the table surrounding the stand, or you may provide smaller cake stands or height.

What do I need to provide?

A cake table with linens, and flavor signs, if desired.  We would be happy to provide the cupcake descriptions if you would like them for your signs!

When do I need to pick my flavors?

You may fill out the contract at any time, but flavor selections need not be made until a couple weeks before your event.

What is the pricing?

Pricing is according to quantity ordered, plus the delivery fee.

 

 

How do I reserve my date?

Signing the contract and paying a 50% deposit reserves your date.  The remaining balance is due one week before the event and will be adjusted according to your final count.

Ordering Off Menu

Would you like flavors that are not on the weekly menu?  Each day has room for five specialty flavors. You may request flavors at least a week in advance to get your choices added to the weekly menu!


Walk Ins

Our menu on Facebook is available each day for walk ins. 

The cupcakes are fresh baked each day, so we tend to sell out of certain flavors toward the end of the day.  

If the cupcake is missing from our menu wall, that means we sold out of that flavor.


Pre-Orders

If you would like specific flavors from our weekly menu, but do not want to risk them selling out, feel free to contact us to set some aside!

Pricing

All pricing is according to quantity.  The price per cupcake decreases with an increase in quantity.


When to Place a Big Order

Orders for specific flavors must be placed one week ahead of time. 

Once we have twelve flavors reserved for a particular day, we cannot add any more flavor requests, but you are welcome to place an order from the already chosen flavors at any time.  

Need specific flavors?  Order as soon as possible to be the first to set the day's menu.
